Titles and sections

Title levels

A title line starts with one or more asterisks (*).

First-level header begins with on asterisk and starts new section, for example:
* Title levels

Similarly there are
** second-level headers
and
*** third-level headers
playing the role of sub- and subsub-section titles.

The way they are displayed depends on the design theme; for example, on this website they are shown as

second-level headers

and

third-level headers

Options for first level titles

Since first-level header starts a section, its options control the entire section block.

max-width

Example:
*:max-width=40ex Limiting width of a section

limits width of a section even on wide screens. Here ex is the width of "x" letter; other units of measurement could be em (width of "m") or px (pixel).

If you do not specify max-width, default value
max-width=85ex
will be used.

single

This option is used for important sections typically placed at the upper part of the landing page:

*:single This section will have no right/left neighbors

Options for other titles

center

This option centers the title:

**:center Centered second-level header
